This product is constructed with hand-laid carbon fibre for the muffler
outer sleeve and end cap, with a high-grade stainless-steel inner
structure, noise insert, link pipe, and headers, resulting in a race
track use–oriented exhaust that is 66.1% (7.4 kg) lighter that the
standard stock version. Maximum performance is obtained due to a
different exhaust configuration, creating performance gains throughout
the entire rev range above 5,000 rpm. Power and torque increases of 7.2
kW (9.8 hp) at 14,600 rpm and 5.0 Nm at 6,400 rpm have been recorded,
respectively, when compared to a Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R equipped with a
standard stock exhaust and tested on the Akrapovič dyno. The racing look
is due to removal of the pre-muffler; the exhaust has two lambda sensors
to counter this. The exhaust tone has a unique deep racing sound, and
the system is a plug-and-play installation that requires no mandatory
remapping, but this is recommended to get the full experience.Options
include a carbon-fibre muffler bracket and the Track Day Link Pipe (SS)
