An eccentric selector switch can be used to set three different presets
for the brake feel.
With the Normal setting, marked with the letter N
on the pump, the brake initially engages gradually. This setting is
therefore particularly suitable for city traffic or for braking on poor
road surfaces.
With the Sport setting, marked with the letter S
on the pump, the initial phase of the braking process is shortened in
contrast to the N setting. This second setting allows a more dynamic
response and a sportier driving style.
Finally, with the Race setting , marked with the letter R
on the pump, the eccentric again shortens the initial braking phase to a
minimum, which corresponds to the setting of the pumps used in MotoGP.
With this setting, the rider responds immediately to the point at which
the brake engages. This third variant is suitable for an extremely
sporty riding style, where every hundredth of a second counts in the
braking process.
The Brembo master brake cylinder guarantee responsive and finely
controllable braking at all times. Particular attention has been paid to
ergonomics in order to always offer the desired behavior. The pumps are
made of cast or die-cast aluminum, a material that guarantees lightness,
durability and optimal aesthetics. Brembo pumps are characterized above
all by their particular adaptability. The result is an excellent
transmission between the force exerted by the rider on the lever and the
braking response, making braking a unique and incomparable experience.
