Brembo brake pads Z04

The Brembo brake pads most frequently used in the Superbike World Championship in conjunction with steel brake discs are the sintered Z04 pads: They are made from sintered material and consist of special mixtures that are bonded together by sintering completely without adhesives. These are genuine factory pads, which are also available for the most common supersport machines. Thanks to the mixtures used, the coefficient of friction is over 0.8, starting at 50°C and remaining at this value up to 400°C. Additional lubricants added to the mixture help to keep braking constant and without jerking, even when the brake disk reaches high temperatures. This makes it unlikely that fading, i.e. a sudden loss of braking power, will occur. The abrasive materials, which constantly remove deposited material from the brake discs and therefore clean them, also help to ensure that the coefficient of friction remains constantly high.
